How to Get a
Wisconsin State Bike Map

The Wisconsin State Bike Map is a set of eight (8) maps published and distributed through the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin. This map classifies state and county roads throughout the state in terms of bicycling conditions. It also identifies bicycle trails and mountain bike facilities, and provides contacts for local bicycle route information. Town roads are not rated for their bicycling conditions but are identified with their road names and surface type.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation worked in partnership with the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin (BFW) to produce a 2005 update of the Wisconsin Bicycle Map. The BFW is working with bicycle shops throughout Wisconsin to distribute these maps. All eight maps are now available for purchase as a set of 4 back-to-back maps.

Maps can be purchased by region (Northern Wisconsin, Western Wisconsin, Central Wisconsin, and Southeast/Northeast Wisconsin), or as a complete set of eight maps on four back-to-back panels. Check with your local bicycle shop to see if it has these maps for sale. If not, maps may be ordered toll-free at (800) 362-4537. The complete set  costs $18.95, plus a shipping fee. Individual maps cost $4.95 each. If your organization or bicycle shop wishes to order a quantity of these maps (wholesale), call (800) 246-4627.
